ProWorks Corporation Recognized on 2005 R&D 100 Award

CORVALLIS, Oregon, July 8, 2005 – ProWorks Corporation, the developers of ‘The Morning Report’ software was recently recognized when the application was awarded the prestigious R&D 100 Award by R&D Magazine. One-hundred recipients are acknowledged annually as having delivered the most technologically significant new products to the marketplace.

Selection of the R&D 100 award winners is made by a panel of independent technical experts who evaluate the details of entries and compare them to competing products and technologies. ProWorks will attend the black tie awards ceremony in Chicago this October where the 2005 winners will be formally recognized for their achievement.

“ProWorks has been involved with this project since 1999. ‘The Morning Report’ is the culmination of a great deal, hard work and collaboration,” said Gary Prothero, Technical Lead of ‘The Morning Report’ project and President of ProWorks. “We are very proud to have been a contributor to such an important and innovative project.”

‘The Morning Report’ evolved from the ‘Aviation Performance Measuring System’ project and was created to improve airline flight safety and reliability by alerting analysts to potential problems based on continuous analysis of flight data.

NASA Ames Research Center funded and managed ‘The Morning Report’ project. Battelle/Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the prime contractor, formulated the algorithms and methods. ProWorks developed the software by integrating the advanced analysis into a user friendly application. In 2004, the technology was made available to the private sector when SAGEM Avionics of Grand Prairie, Texas, licensed ‘The Morning Report’.

“Our philosophy at ProWorks is to make our clients look good. It is very gratifying for ProWorks to share such a prestigious award with Battelle and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory,” said Gary Prothero.

ProWorks has a history of successfully delivering innovative software solutions on government and private contracts. As a sub-contractor to Battelle, ProWorks has delivered on the Aviation Safety Reporting System for the Federal Aviation Administration and the Patient Safety Reporting System for VA hospitals. In the private sector, ProWorks developed a customized analysis tool to Hewlett Packard designed to improve inkjet cartridge manufacturing quality and consistency.
